The mark, in the site's light.

On the Mac and the iPhone the mark sits in white on the site's glow, purple from the bottom left and green from the top right, as the profile picture has it. Don't redraw it: download it.

Construction

Built on a 20-unit square.

Each rib is 3 units wide, with 1 between them and corners of 0.15. From the left they stand 13.5, 16, 14.5 and 11.5 tall, centred on one line, and are 60, 100, 80 and 50 percent strong. Keep the space of one rib and its gap, 4 units, clear all around.

Name

Ensemble, with a lower-case wordmark.

In a sentence it's a name like any other: “Ensemble runs every task in its own machine.” In the logo it's lower case, as drawn; use the logo files rather than typing it. Not ENSEMBLE, not Ensemble AI. The line that says what it is:Just the work.

Colour

Warm dark, and colour only as a signal.

Everything sits on warm near-blacks with paper-white text. Colour means something: a state, mostly. It comes faint, as a tint, a hairline or tinted text, never as a big solid fill.

A state as the app draws it: a 10% tint, a 20% hairline, and the colour itself only for the words.

Glass

The mark, at the size of a room.

Soft coloured light seen through vertical ribs of glass, drifting very slowly. It sits behind the top of a page and on empty screens, at low strength. Never behind a conversation, a diff or a file.

Type

Geist, and Geist Mono.

Both by Vercel, free under the SIL Open Font License. Geist for everything people read, Geist Mono for what a machine says: code, paths, numbers, and the small labels above sections.

Position

Just the work.

For developers who run Claude Code and Codex all day and want everything around the work done for them. Every thread gets a cloud VM of its own, set up and running: the agent installs what the project needs and starts its dev server, the keys stay out of the machine, and they review it all from their Mac. No servers to keep, though they can bring their own. Next to hosted agent clouds: their own agents, on their own work and personal plans. Next to worktree apps: a whole machine per thread, not one shared checkout with their tokens on it.

  1. Nobody types pnpm install. The agent installs what the project needs and writes it into its ensemble.toml; the next thread starts from an image with it done, and the agent starts the dev server.
  2. No server to keep.Pick Ensemble VMs and a thread gets a VM of ours in seconds, from the project's image; idle, it stops. A server of your own still works.
  3. A placeholder, not your token. The machine gets placeholders for your GitHub and agent tokens; the host adds the real ones on the way to the service.
Voice

Plain words, said once.

Sound like the developer who ran the test and can show the screen: what happens, where, and the number. Short sentences, sentence case, limits said as plainly as benefits. Name things the way the app does: threads, machines, helpers.

In the app

Three rules over everything.

  1. Clear. Every element says what it is.
  2. Square and straight. Clean edges, small radii, straight lines, no ornament.
  3. Colour sparingly. As an accent, at low strength: tints, hairlines, tinted text.

Headers, posts and screenshots at the sizes each network asks for, made from the site's own glass and the app as it looks today. The profile picture is the mark on frosted glass, smaller than in the app icon so a round crop doesn't crowd it.
